Terms and Conditions
Volunteer Code of ConductAdventHealth Global Mission and the Dr. J Douglas Cusick Medical Mission Endowment at AdventHealth Mid America Region (AHMAR) promote health, wellness, and education while improving access to medical services for underserved populations in Peru and Kenya. To achieve this goal, AHMAR organizes short-term mission trips, deploying medical and non-medical volunteers to provide relief and services. Additionally, AHMAR builds capacity within partner hospitals to ensure the long-term sustainability of healthcare initiatives.
Volunteer Code of Conduct Agreement:
I agree to abide by the following:
- Personal Responsibility: Complete required tasks and reflections
- Familiarize myself with the region
- Address ethical concerns appropriately
- Uphold professional standards and ethical conduct
- Review and sign surgical care guidelines (if applicable)
- Respect: Treat all individuals with dignity and respect
- Dress respectfully and avoid inappropriate language and behavior
- Maintain confidentiality
- Use social media responsibly, protecting patient privacy
- Safety: Act safely and responsibly, following trip leader instructions
- Exercise caution when traveling alone. Inform the trip leader of your plans.
PARTICIPANT AUTHORIZATION AND AGREEMENT
I hereby authorize AdventHealth Mid America Region to purchase airline tickets on my behalf for my participation in the mission trip.
I agree to reimburse AdventHealth Mid America Region for the cost of such tickets in a timely manner (no later than 25 days prior to departure)
Once AdventHealth Mid America Region has purchased airline tickets on my behalf, I understand and acknowledge that I am responsible for the cost of such airline tickets and that this cost is nonrefundable. However, if AdventHealth Mid America Region cancels the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, I understand they will do everything possible to reimburse my deposit and flight costs.
I agree to pay the entire trip amount 25 days prior to departure of the trip.
